Police ID woman killed in Southeast Austin crash

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A woman was killed early Saturday after police say she pulled onto Burleson Road and was hit by a truck. Kassie Renee McCright, 30, turned her Honda Civic onto the road about 4:17 a.m. from a private drive near McKinney Falls Parkway and was hit by a Chevy Silverado heading east.

Renee died at the scene.

Police say this case is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the Austin Police Department’s Vehicular Homicide Unit Detectives at 512-974-4424.

This is Austin’s 9th deadly traffic crash and the ninth death of 2015. At this time in 2014, there were two deadly crashes and three deaths.
