Pedestrian dies from injuries in North Austin crash

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A 41-year-old man was killed last week while trying to cross a North Austin street. Police say Edward Floyd Fisher was walking south across Norwood Park Boulevard about 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 20 when a truck hit him. The 2014 Chevy Silverado was turning from Clock Tower Drive onto Norwood.

Fisher was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge and died the next day.

This was Austin’s eighth deadly traffic crash of 2015 and the eighth traffic death of 2015. At this time in 2014, there were two deadly crashes and three traffic deaths.
