BOULDER, Colorado (KXAN) — A Leander man charged with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl for more than a year was arrested Friday in Colorado by US Marshals.
Court documents said Dudley G. Jacobs, 43, began assaulting the teen almost immediately after he started dating her mom in May 2013. The girl said Dudley climbed into her bed on several occasions and assaulted her.
Police were alerted in December 2014 and an exam with a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner was performed. Charges were filed that same month and Dudley fled the state.
Authorities learned he was trying to flee the United States for his native South Africa to avoid capture. The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force tracked him to Colorado and he was arrested in Boulder without incident.
Jacobs is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child and bond was set at $500,000. He is currently in custody in Boulder County waiting to be moved back to Williamson County.
