33 dogs killed in Central Texas barn fire

MOODY, Texas (KXAN) — At least 33 dogs died Friday after a fire inside a barn between Waco and Temple.

Authorities say the fire at a licensed dog breeder’s home in Moody was sparked by an electrical problem.

The breeder has hundreds of dogs, most of which are Shih Tzus and Yorkies.

The owner said the barn serves as a kennel. No people were hurt.
