Leaders in Austin tackle ‘growing divide’

AUSTIN (KXAN) — KXAN has  partnered with the Long Center and Leadership Austin to bring a series of “Engage Breakfasts.” The first of the year Wednesday was a packed house.

KXAN anchor Robert Hadlock moderated the discussion with panelists Ora Houston, Ryan Robinson and Dr. Tane Ward.

Houston is the newly elected District 1 Austin City Council member. Robinson is the City of Austin Demographer. Dr. Ward is the Executive Director of Equilibrio Norte.

Panelists framed the economic, demographic and cultural obstacles facing Austin.

This breakfast was the first in a multipart series about Austin’s “growing divide.”

The next Leadership Austin Engage Breakfast is Feb. 4, 2015.
