‘Hunchback’ robber captured by police

AUSTIN (KXAN) – The man police say is responsible for a string of robberies is now behind bars.

Austin Police say Robert Devine is the man connected to a string of robberies at area locations of The Cash Store as well as fast food restaurants that they once described as a “hunchback”

Devine is charged with seven Second Degree Felony counts of Robbery by Threat.

In each of the robberies police say he indicated he had a gun but never showed one to the victims.
