Salvation Army kettle drive nearing end for 2014

Austin (KXAN)- The Salvation Army is trying to raise $2.5 million dollars to help families but they are still short of their goal.

Taking a closer look, The Salvation Army helps more than 400-thousand people in Central Texas each year. More than 400 women and children are on the wait list for emergency help each day. More than 300 people sleep in shelters each night.
