AUSTIN (KXAN) — Travis Parsons, 36, is charged with the third-degree felony of retaliation after police say he rammed into the drive-thru widow of a Central Austin Taco Bell when he got upset at the woman taking the order. Police also accuse Parsons of being drunk, saying “he drank an unknown amount of wine prior” to the incident.

The incident happened around 12:45 a.m. Tuesday in the drive-thru lane of the Taco Bell at 5604 Cameron Road, when police say Parsons “was very threatening to Taco Bell employees” and rammed his 1998 green Ford Ranger pickup into the building — only after Parsons allegedly threatened workers over the intercom by saying “he was going to kill everyone inside.” The woman taking Parsons’ order told police she felt afraid for her life, scared Parsons “would follow through with the threat, especially after he rammed the wall right outside where she was standing at the order window.”

Parsons’ bail was set at $6,000, on the condition of supervision. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
