AUSTIN (KXAN) —  A new service kicked off Wednesday at Austin Bergstrom International Airport that allows travellers to make money by renting out their cars.  It’s called Flightcar and its the world’s first peer-to-peer car sharing company to operate at airports.

Users list their cars as potentinal rentals by using Flightcars website. On the day of the flight, the user would drop their car off at the Flightcar lot. Flightcar would then rent out the car for the duration of the trip.

Flightcar was started by 3 teens in San Francisco in 2012. It has since expanded to cities around the country such as Washington D.C. and Boston.
