Austin Monitor’s Mike Kanin analyzes Runoff Results

Mike Kanin with the Austin Monitor talked with KXAN about the makeup of the new council.

AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Tuesday, Austin voters went to the polls to elect a new mayor and members of the city council. It was an historic runoff, because for the first time, Austin voters chose people to represent them at City Hall based on ten different single member districts.

Mike Kanin with the Austin Monitor talked with KXAN about the makeup of the new council. That new council takes office on January 6.
