You might say Caprice Richards’ wheels are always spinning. As an instructor at RIDE Indoor Cycling, she came up with a way to put the bikes to work benefiting local organizations. Caprice declared she would donate $10 for every bike booked in her class to local charities. She was soon handing over a check for more than 5-thousand-dollars to Helping Hand. Then the wheels of generosity just kept turning. An anonymous donor matched Caprice, making the total per bike $20. More checks were delivered to Austin Pets Alive and Children’s Center for Protection. Now another donor has brought the total to $25 for every bike booked, with the money going to worthy groups including Safe Place and Girl Power to the Cure. You can participate by riding in Caprice’s class through December. Today she dropped by the studio to tell Amanda how her original idea has rolled on to an entirely new level, and to give some basics on what you can expect in her class.
