Fayette Co. official charged with misusing taxpayer money

FAYETTE COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — A Fayette County commissioner was arrested after being accused of using taxpayer money for his own benefit.

Precinct 3 Commissioner James Kubecka ordered tires for his personal car, but paid for them with county funds, according to a Department of Public Safety official.

Kubecka is charged with theft by a public servant, a felony offense in the state of Texas.
