AUSTIN (KXAN) – An obviously bold and adventurous spirit took to skiing down what seems like an impossible drop – the ski line so steep with no room for error. On top of the daring drop, the skier deals with jagged rocks on either side through the narrow mountain passage.
Red Bull says “Cody Townsend took big mountain skiing to an entirely new level, straight-lining one of the gnarliest vertical chutes deep in the Alaska Tordrillos Mountain Range, earning himself the ‘Best Line’ award at the 15th annual Powder Awards, along with ‘Best Male Performance’ and ‘Full Throttle’ titles as well.”
This ski line apparently made an impact. MSP Films shared the video on its Facebook page, congratulating “all of the skiers for their wins at the Powder Video Awards.” This video comes from the same group who produced the film “Days Of My Youth,” which producers say examines skiing as a way of life. They take to traveling the globe to create the film. “From nearly impossible descents in Alaska to massive terrain features with U.S. Olympian Bobby Brown, ‘Days Of My Youth’ showcases the best action of the last two years all rolled into one incredible film.”
