Thrall ISD delays start of school due to water main break

THRALL, Texas (KXAN) — Due to a water main break and subsequent repairs, Thrall ISD is delaying the start of school on Wednesday, Nov. 19. School will begin at 11:30 a.m. and buses will run on a 4-hour delay. School will still end at 3:40 p.m.

Due to the water line break, the City of Thrall will need to turn off water to the entire town on Wednesday morning to make repairs, which is expected to take up to eight hours.

The school district says breakfast and lunch will not be served and students are encouraged to bring a bottle of water and a light afternoon snack.

Restrooms will be working but the water will be coming from water wells instead of city water.

All students attending other campuses (including Temple College & TSTC) are not affected, as far as start times.

Residents in Thrall are also urged to boil their water starting on Wednesday, until further notice.
