(CNN) — Country singer Garth Brooks not only has a new album coming out, he’s releasing it from his own music store. It’s called Ghost Tunes. In addition to his new album, Brooks will offer his entire back catalog and live sessions for just $29.99.

The site carries other artists as well, who are allowed to price their own music as they see fit. Brooks says it’s his gift to music.

“It seems like a lot of people are eager to give away the music, which is kind of good for the technology world but not good for the songwriters and stuff. So you have to go out, and you have to fight all the time,” said Brooks. “So our music isn’t where you’d usually find it on iTunes. Our music is on Ghost Tunes because iTunes has a single way of doing business, and if you just don’t play that way, then you don’t get to play in their parks.”

Brooks is the third best-selling music act in U.S. history. His new album “Man Against Machine” dropped earlier this week. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
