Central Texas honors veterans across the nation

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Americans all over the country are taking time Tuesday to honor our nation’s heroes. And in just a few hours, Travis County and the City of Austin will host their annual Veteran’s Day Parade. Participants will start forming along the Congress Avenue bridge around 7:30 a.m. Before the march, there will be a military flyover at 9:30 a.m. Then, the parade will get underway. If you’d like to attend, you’re encouraged to sit along Congress Avenue between Cesar Chavez and 11th streets.

Providing the entertainment is the Del Valle High School Cardinal Band. After the parade, there will be a ceremony on the south steps of the State Capitol.
