AUSTIN (KXAN) — Photographer Amanda Chapman’s at it again with her 31 Days of Halloween series. You may not know it, but she’s done this for the past two years. And it boils down to two things: One woman. 31 spellbinding looks.
“I get a lot of the clothing for my characters from thrift stores,” says Amanda. “Depending upon the complexity of the character determines how long I spend on the makeup. Some take an hour; others have taken me 4-5 hours.”
For Thursday’s look — “Jackal” from “Thir13en Ghosts” — she made the cage out of a cardboard box and foam paper. “And I just happen to have a straight jacket laying around (true story),” she posted on her Facebook page.
Amanda does all of the makeup herself. Three different creative hats on one very imaginative person, Amanda is model, makeup artist and photographer in one. Yes, she takes the photo herself. You can check out her photos from 2013 and 2012 — or just sit back and enjoy the video slideshows below, synched to some creepy music.
