70-year-old cyclist killed in Williamson County

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — Texas Department of Public Safety officials say a 70-year-old man, from Florence, riding his bicycle died following a wreck over the weekend. It happened Saturday around 5:40 p.m. A  car was heading south on RR Boulevard near County Road 289 when Tim Dow was trying to cross Ronald Reagan Boulevard on CR 289 going east. That’s when officials say the car hit Dow, who died.

It is unknown if Dow wore a helmet. It is unknown if police cited the driver in the crash. DPS continues to investigate.
