Wednesday marks National Cat Day

AUSTIN (KXAN) – You’re encouraged to celebrate the felines in your life this week on National Cat Day. Lana Fraley Rich joined Erin Cargile on KXAN News Today to explain the importance of the day, which started in 2005.

Rich is a “catsultant” and local “spokespurrrson” for National Cat Day. She encourages Central Texans to celebrate their cats, their uniqueness and the unconditional love and companionship they can provide. She also discussed why you should rescue cats from local shelters.
