AUSTIN (KXAN) – If you’re looking for a spook this weekend, East Austin is the place to be. The Housecore Horror Film Fest at Emo’s runs until Sunday.

Our crew sat down with the cast of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie. They are celebrating the 40th anniversary of the iconic horror movie originally shot in Round Rock.

“I mean, Who Knew? We made a movie. We hoped it would be something,” said Gunnar Hanson, who played Leather Face. “But some of us didn’t even know if it would come out in a theater, because it was such a raw production, we just didn’t know if it would ever get finished.

In addition to horror movies, festival co-founder and musician Philip Anselmo is also playing along with other heavy metal acts. Tickets are still available.
