Advocates say ‘No More! ¡No Mas!’ to domestic violence

AUSTIN (KXAN) – As Domestic Violence Awareness Month continues, anti-violence advocates are working to get their message out in every language.

Members of Survivor Voices Project and Tu Voz hosted “No More! ¡No Mas!” outside City Hall Saturday. The English/Spanish bilingual event celebrated the survivors of domestic violence and called on the community to do more.

“We’re here today to put a positive spin on what happens after abuse… not the abuse itself,” said Thomasina Tijerina with Survivor Voices.
