In A Pickle With the Texas Book Festival

Some 250 authors will come together on the capital grounds over the course of the weekend for the Texas Book Festival.  There will be readings, discussions and demos. Kate Payne penned Hip Girl’s Guide to the Kitchen and dropped by the studio to tell us about her part in the festival as well as introduce Amanda to the art of pickle fermentation. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
