AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Utah Jazz has signed on 5-year-old JP Gibson as a team member, even if for just a day. According to the video, JP was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2012, and the team signed JP to a one-day contract. The boy suited up Monday night to join the Jazz on the court. JP subbed in for a Jazz basketball player during the special scrimmage. In his first play, the boy managed to score – a dunk that was nothin’ but net.
