ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KOB/NBC) — Hundreds of hot air balloons took to the skies Saturday morning over Albuquerque, N.M. Liftoff started shortly after sunrise, and the sky was soon full of brilliantly colored balloons of different shapes and sizes.

All 550 pilots were given tablet computers to help them steer clear of restricted areas such as the zoo and airport flight paths. Most touched down all over the city. One even landed on a car, but there were no reports of injuries or crashes.
