Work shuts down sections of I-35 for 12 hours

SALADO, Texas (KXAN) — Multiple sections of Interstate 35 will be closed for 12 hours as crews work on various projects in Salado and Belton.

Starting at 7 p.m. Thursday, all northbound lanes at Exit 285 will be closed until 7 a.m. on Friday as crews perform corrective work on a detour. All southbound lanes at the same exit will be closed for the same period of time as workers set bridges at Salado Creek.

In Belton, all northbound lanes at Exit 292 will be shut down as crews re-stripe the lanes. The closure will start at 7 p.m. on Thursday and be in place for 12 hours.
