AUSTIN (KXAN) — By now, you’ve probably seen the one-piece business suit called the Suitsy. But there’s an even stranger article of clothing aimed at convenience. This one is the Wearable Futon Air Mat Set.
Japanese company King Jim specializes in office equipment and supplies, so how they made the link to wearable-futon clothing is a bit of a mystery. Nonetheless, it’s a jumpsuit made of nylon, polyethylene and polyester, according to Huffington Post. It doubles as an overcoat and a bed.
You can see the leg bottoms even fold over, so you can walk in them. The suit’s a little more than 5 feet long.
Daily Mail says the Wearable Futon Air Mat Set sells for about $40. Other media outlets are also reporting the mixed reaction. Some apparently admire the idea’s ingenuity, while others fear it’ll make it easier for Japanese companies to force employees to pull all-nighters at the office. Not sure how real that fear is.
