AUSTIN (KXAN) — SWAT teams were in the Circle C neighborhood Tuesday morning after police received a call Monday night concerning a man who wanted to harm himself and would not come out of his home. The home is located on Trelawney Lane near Kiker Elementary School.

Police said around 10:48 p.m. Monday, they got a call about a man who wanted to harm himself. Around midnight, SWAT was called in since he refused to come out. Officers said they never evacuated neighbors but would not allow anyone to drive down the street where the SWAT situation was happening.

Shortly after 5:30 a.m., police said the SWAT situation had ended. Meanwhile, Kiker Elementary School is not expected to be delayed as a result of the SWAT call, so parents and students can go about their day as usual.
