El Paso news photographer helps rescue woman

EL PASO, Texas (CNN/KTSM) – KTSM Photographer Mike Wilburn heard frantic screams for help as he arrived at a washed-out roadway in El Paso, Texas. Around 6 a.m. Monday, Wilburn and several other men helped rescue a woman who was swept away into a canal and pinned between her submerged truck and the canal wall.

After about 15 minutes, the men finally got the woman to safety. The woman appeared to be OK and boarded a nearby city bus. Most of the men who helped in the rescue are local teachers.
