1 injured in North Austin knife fight

UPDATE (9:41 p.m) – What officers originally thought was a gunshot wound, ended up being a cut above the eye. No one was transported to the hospital.

Original post: AUSTIN (KXAN) — Police say one person was injured after being shot in North Austin Saturday night.

APD Officers were called to the 9300 block of Northgate Blvd. at about 8:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a fight that involved knives. About 20 minutes later, witnesses reported hearing 5-6 gunshots. Police then located a person with a gunshot wound.

The victim’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
