BURNET, Texas (KXAN) — An 86-year-old woman died this week from injuries she suffered in a crash Aug. 29 in Burnet. Bobbye Streightoff was riding in a van when a truck traveling in the opposite direction lost control and crashed into them.

Police say 18-year-old Brandon Bible was driving north in the 5400 block of Highway 281 about 6:20 p.m., when his truck crossed into oncoming traffic and was hit on the passenger side. Kelsey Spillman, 17, was riding in the passenger seat and was taken by helicopter in critical condition to an Austin-area hospital. Bible was taken by ambulance to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the van, 52-year-old Marja Garcia, also had to be airlifted to an Austin-area with critical injuries.

Bible, Spillman and Garcia were all still in the hospital as of Monday, Burnet police said, but no updates on their condition were available.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
