GAZA (CNN/MEDIATOWN.PS) — It’s been a week since Israel and Hamas agreed to an open-ended ceasefire, and both sides are now counting the costs of 50 days of almost unrelenting violence. This is an aerial view of the Shejaiya neighborhood in Gaza, flattened by Israeli firepower. Israel says the neighborhood was a fortress of weapons, rockets, and tunnels.
Up to 120 Palestinians died here, as well as 13 Israeli soldiers — on just one day. An aid group says rebuilding all of Gaza will take 20 years and cost more than $6 billion.
