Austin police need help identifying man found dead in field

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Police need help identifying a man who was found dead in a field behind an HEB store, 7112 Ed Bluestein Blvd., in Northeast Austin. Officers found the man about 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 11.


  • White male
  • 5’10” tall
  • 147 lbs.
  • Gray/Brown hair
  • Gray appearing mustache and beard
  • Tattoo on upper right arm “SHARON”

Police say he was wearing a gray shirt that read, “Granger Lakefest 5k 2010 Get Fit for Life.” He was also wearing light green shorts and gray Puma-brand sneakers.

Foul play is not expected at this time.
