Fans avoid gridlock by cycling to UT game

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Heavy traffic surrounded DKR Memorial Stadium Saturday. However, some fans decided to avoid the gridlock altogether by choosing an alternate form of transportation.

Austin B-Cycle offered unlimited bike parking at the Bullock History Museum and LBJ Library stations, helping make sure people had another way to get to the game. They staffed the stations to add more parking and help ensure bikes will be available at the end of the game.

The bike share system offers customers 24 hour access for $8.
