Round Rock names interim city manager

Laurie Hadley

ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) — Assistant Round Rock city manager Laurie Hadley was appointed to be the city’s interim city manager during a city council meeting Thursday night. Hadley’s appointment begins Oct. 1 after current city manager Steve Norwood resigns on Sept. 30.

“The City Council is really pleased with the existing executive staff and leadership team, so this move just makes a lot of sense,” Mayor Alan McGraw said. “The City has so much positive momentum – just look at our recent citizen survey results, which are among the best in the nation – and the Council wants to see continuity in leadership at the top of the organization.”

Before moving to Round Rock, Hadley served as Deputy City Manager in Prescott, Arizona.
