AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Music People is holding a two-day music event called ‘United We Jam’ to encourage Austinites to register to vote.

The nonprofit will have volunteers posted at different music venues around the city. Bands like Little Mikey and the Soda Jerks and Slowtrain will be performing on Friday, Aug. 29 and Saturday, Aug. 30. AMP volunteers will also be on hand to help fans register to vote and answer any questions.

According to the AMP website, most venues will charge a $5 for the show and a portion of the proceeds benefit AMP. For a full list of bands and venues, you can visit the do512 website.
