AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin police have issued an arrest warrant for Jeremy Clarke Brock, the man suspected in a pair of robberies at area HEB stores.
Police were called to the HEB store at Ranch Road 620 and Anderson Mill Road on Aug. 15 after the robber passed a note demanding money to a customer service counter employee. The cashier said the man motioned towards his waistband as if he had a weapon, according to the affidavit.
Authorities later received an anonymous tip directing them to Brock, 47, who drives a car similar to the one seen in surveillance pictures. Further investigation showed Brock pawned several items using his driver’s license the day before the robbery. Video at that store showed Brock driving up in a car matching the one seen at the HEB, the document added. A neighbor also identified Brock as the man in the surveillance picture.
Bastrop police believe Brock is also responsible for a robbery at an HEB store in that city on Wednesday.
Police describe Brock as being 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium build and a ‘beer belly.’ He is not yet in custody. Anyone with information about Brock is asked to call the Austin Police Department robbery tip line at 512-974-5092.
