Inmate charged after jailhouse brawl

AUSTIN (KXAN) – An inmate at the Travis County is facing an additional charge after deputies say he assaulted a guard during a worship service.

According to the probable cause affidavit for his arrest, Jeron Neal attacked a guard who was attempting to break up a fight.

Security camera footage showed Neal fighting with the guard.

Neal was charged with Assault on a Public Servant. He was initially being held on charges of harassment of a public servant and obstruction or retaliation.
