HEB robber strikes another store, this time in Bastrop

BASTROP, Texas (KXAN) — Authorities in Bastrop believe a man suspected of robbing an Austin HEB store earlier this month is responsible for a second robbery on Wednesday.

Bastrop police say the man walked into the HEB store shortly before 1 p.m. at 104 N. Hasler Blvd., in Bastrop. He walked to the customer service desk and handed over a note to a worker demanding money. No weapons were used, police said.

H-E-B robber's getaway carHe was described as a man in his 30s or 40s, 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium build and a ‘beer belly.’ He left the store in black, four-door car and went west on State Highway 71.

Police believe he is the same man who robbed a store on Aug. 15 at Ranch Road 620 and Anderson Mill Road.
