Austin man killed in rollover crash Sunday in Taylor

TAYLOR, Texas (KXAN) — An Austin man was killed in an early morning crash Sunday in Taylor. Police say 27-year-old Daniel Dakota Franzetti was driving east along Second Street near Debus Drive when he lost control of his Jeep Cherokee. The crash happened about 3:30 a.m.

Investigators say Franzetti’s vehicle drifted into the center median before returning to the road. The jeep then started to slide sideways before rolling several times and ejecting Franzetti. He died at the scene.

Officers are still working to determine the cause of crash. Anyone who witnessed the crash or has any other information is asked to call the Taylor Police Department at 512-352-5551.
