Fatal crash in Kyle shuts down southbound lanes of IH-35

KYLE, Texas (KXAN) — Southbound lanes of IH-35, just north of Kyle Parkway, are closed due to a fatal crash.

According to Kyle police, the multi-vehicle crash happened just after 9 p.m. near mile marker 215. An 18-wheeler, motorcycle and a passenger vehicle were all involved in the crash.

The man riding the motorcycle died at the scene.

Traffic going southbound is being diverted to the access road. Authorities hope to have the freeway back open by midnight.
