Bats are as much an Austin trademark as live music, and on Saturday, August 23rd, you can find both as the 10th annual Bat Fest. At Bat Fest this year, you’ll be able to see 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats emerging from under the bridge at dusk, 3 stages with live music, more than 75 arts & crafts vendors plus food and drinks, fun children’s activities, a bat costume contest and other bat activities. Bat Fest is this Saturday, August 23rd and begins at 4pm on the Congress Bridge. It’s $10 to get in, and kids 10 and under are free.
