(NBC NEWS) — This familiar face took on the ALS ice bucket challenge: former President George W. Bush. The former president accepted the challenge from daughter Jenna Bush Hager, getting doused in ice water by none other than his wife, Laura. The former first lady didn’t get iced because she didn’t want to mess up her hair — a coif Jenna has referred to as “helmet hair.”

As of Tuesday, the ALS Association has received $22.9 million in donations. That’s compared to $1.9 million during the same time period last year, July 29 to Aug. 19. By the way, the former president issued the challenge to another former president: Bill Clinton, who also celebrated his 68th birthday Tuesday. Bush says his birthday present to Clinton is a cold bucket of water!

Meanwhile, House of Cards’ “Frank Underwood” had something else in mind.
