RIO VERDE, Brazil (NBC/TV GLOBO via RTV) — Inmates who dug their way out of a Brazilian prison recorded their escape on a cell phone. Thirteen prisoners were able to escape from a prison in Brazil’s Goias State after digging a tunnel in their cell.
The prison guard on duty has been suspended, local media reports. A police official said the cell had not been inspected for nearly 60 days. Police have apprehended two of the escaped convicts, according to reports.
