Habitat for Humanity volunteer gets a home of her own.

Georgia Thomsen with Austin Habitat for Humanity visited our studio Monday. She was joined by Ebonie Trice, a single-mom who had volunteered with Habitat in the summer of 2012. It was then that she decided to apply for a home for her and her 5-year-old daughter DeKota. She worked with a counselor to repair her credit score and worked to build her home.

Austin Habitat for Humanity works to serve the community by providing financial and physical assistance to build and repair homes in the hope of ending the cycle of poverty. They’re always appreciative of monetary donations and volunteers who assist with everything from building houses to serving lunch.
