CEDAR PARK, Texas (KXAN) — A gas leak closed a portion of Lakeline Boulevard in Cedar Park for several hours Monday. The roadway was closed between Cypress Creek Road and Little Elm Trail for most of the afternoon and during rush hour.

Drivers were rerouted through a strip center parking lot during the closure.

Construction crews were working in the area, and city officials believe a contractor hit a gas line while doing work. It was reported around 12:30 p.m. The roadway reopened shortly after 8 p.m.
