AUSTIN (KXAN) — After news of Governor Rick Perry’s indictment broke on Friday, it was fairly quiet outside of the Governor’s Mansion throughout the evening.

Governor Perry’s Deputy Director of Communications, Rich Parsons, came out of the mansion at one point, but when asked for comment he got on his phone and into a car. DPS Troopers were also seen circling the building throughout the night.

While Governor Perry did not make an appearance Friday evening, he did earlier this week at Camp Swift. He was there Wednesday morning speaking with troops getting ready to deploy to the border for Operation Strong Safety. However, there was no indication then about what was to unfold Friday.
