HEB robbery suspect still at large

AUSTIN (KXAN) – Austin Police are investigating after a man robbed an HEB Plus store just before 1 p.m. on Aug. 15 in Austin.

Police were called to the store at Ranch Road 620 and Anderson Mill Road after the robber passed a note demanding money to a customer service counter employee.

Witnesses told police they didn’t see any weapons during the robbery, and nobody was hurt in the incident.

Police say the suspect drove away in a black 4-door sedan, possibly a Dodge Avenger.

The suspect left the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was described as a man in his 30s or 40s, 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium build and a ‘beer belly.’

He was last seen wearing a camouflage and burnt orange Texas cap with a white Longhorn emblem on the front, dark sunglasses, a faded pink short sleeved t-shirt, gray shorts, and black with white tennis shoes. He drove away in a black 4-door sedan, possibly a Dodge Avenger.
