NEW JERSEY (NBC/NJ State Police) — New Jersey State Police released dashcam video of the aftermath of the crash that injured actor-comedian Tracy Morgan. Morgan suffered a broken leg, broken femur, broken nose and cracked ribs when a Walmart truck crashed into the limousine he was riding in on the New Jersey turnpike in June. The crash killed Morgan’s 62-year-old friend and injured two other passengers.
Morgan’s attorney, Benedict Morelli, says the actor is still struggling but fighting hard. Morelli has also filed a lawsuit against Walmart, claiming the company should have known the truck driver was more than the legal 14-hour shift. The truck driver, Kevin Roper, has pleaded not guilty to charges of vehicular homicide and assault by auto. In a statement, Walmart calls the incident a terrible tragedy and says the company is cooperating with the investigation.
