Boy nearly drowns at Jewish Community Center

AUSTIN (KXAN) – A 4-year-old boy was rushed to Dell Children’s Medical Center in a life-threatening condition after nearly drowning at the Dell Jewish Community Center Tuesday afternoon in Austin.

Austin/Travis County EMS tells KXAN life guards at the pool used CPR and an Automatic defibrillator on the boy before medics arrived at the pool.

Austin police say the boy was breathing as he left the scene in an ambulance but his injuries are potentially life threatening.
