GEORGETOWN, Texas (KXAN) – A Williamson County man was sentenced to 65 years behind bars for the brutal assault of his ex in 2013.

Prosecutors said Arty Price, formerly a competitive boxer and registered sex offender, left the victim in her Round Rock home with a fractured skull and a ruptured bowel. Price fled the area and was found several days later in Converse, Texas.

Prosecutors say the pattern on the bottom of Price’s sandals matched the pattern found on the victim’s head and neck.

“The victim in this case suffered some truly horrific injuries at the hands of this defendant. Injuries she is still recovering from. Recovery that will hopefully be made easier with the knowledge that Arty Price will never again do this to another woman,” said assistant district attorney Geoffrey Puryear. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
